Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and efficient Operations Manager to be responsible for the overall operation management. The responsibilities will include organizing and monitoring warehouses/hub-centres, transhipment and transportation of goods, including door pickups and door deliveries. The goal is to manage the entire operation cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
Key Skills
- Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
- Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems
- Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand
- Allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs
- Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers
- Calculate, account and provide information about the shipment statistics, weight, destination, quantity, type, charge…etc.
- Perform material handling, receive and deliver to the desired routing, processing, recipient or any other concerned party
- Communicate, coordinate, follow up and report about on processing or hold items to be manipulated, delivered to other parties, or provide feedback about status
- Perform filing and documentation issues as prescribed for them, and provide with vital assistance in keep records and following up status for under-processing shipments
- Carry out reception activities and consult customers about any queries, answer phones and emails regarding any issue
- Organize and coordinate the formalities regarding the clearing of cargo or shipments at the port
- Ensures that site staff is of adequate numbers and competency to meet the planned shipping schedules
- Working on new supply strategies, Planning vehicle routes
- Develop and maintain a productive work team via training and career development
- Check and verify shipping records, handle questions or concerns of shipping shortages or overages and address problems with inventory control
- Keep stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements
- Drives costs savings with a focus on Visibility, Variability and Velocity Provides proactive communications and solutions for distribution issues
