Job Description
- Person will be responsible for Increasing LTL/Sundry/FTL branch booking and delivery Business.
- Business development and new client generation
- Ensures all field logistics operational processes governing the ordering, stocking, disbursement, processing, and shipment of service parts inventory are performed properly.
- Implement, document and improve processes on information flow, vendor on-boarding, escalation handing and other logistics related activities.
- Familiarity with transport regulations in different states.
- Controls and directs the functions and operations of all logistics personnel in support of Customer Services.
- Monitoring supplier performance, vendor rating, ensuring settlement of creditor’s accounts & cost reduction in direct & indirect materials.
- Commercial negotiations with transportation vendors and managing a fleet.
- Vendor development for future requirements.
- Streamline and standardize the vendor on-boarding process.
- Monitor and manage the transportation network. Ownership for demand & Supply planning process and making sure the customer receives the order in time.
- Reduce the transit time and contribute to the overall TAT reduction.
- Continuously reduce cost and improve vehicle utilization.
- Schedule deliveries and pick-ups and optimize routes and processes.
Key Skills
- Graduates having 8-25 yrs exp with very large distribution Fleet / Trucks aggregation/sourcing of different types of vehicles or similar experience in handling huge fleet of Trucks, Route Planning, Pricing Customs, Fleet maintenance etc . Knowledge of FTL,LTL,Express logistics management. Ability to handle branch works.
- Experience in working for a logistics company, having direct exposure in outsourcing traffic / fleet department of a logistics / transport company / manufacturing company/ broker office / Truck Sales Organization / Tyre sales companies for a minimum period of 2 Years.
- Exposure to various routes and rates prevailing in the major sectors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in local languages and also fluent in Hindi & English.
- Familiarity with the Truck engagement procedures and processes.
- Basic computer knowledge in tools such as Office, Outlook and willing to understand operation of the GPS Tracker device.
